/ Santa Domingo Sing Tie Necklace This is a large and some what heavy necklace. Beautifully worn with solid color outfits or tops. This is a piece that definitely makes a statement and not easily forgotten. In fact it's my favorite piece. This is a new modern version, made as one piece. The old version, is where the Indians wore a necklace and when they attended a special event/ ceremony, they added a bracelet size piece onto their existing necklace. As you can tell on this, the bracelet parts are made onto the necklace, which makes it a very interesting piece. It's made with heishi beads, turquoise epoxy blocks & tube beads. The rust round beads, I believe to be Jasper. The black are made of jet/ black glass. A jewelers advise on a clasp, is that the necklace would have to be taken completely apart. That the necklace should be worn, tied it in back, as it was originally made to be worn. Measures: approx. 33" in length. The square blocks on side are approx. 1"x 3/8" wide. Center turquoises are approx.1" long. Weight: approx. 6 oz. |
