Handmade Glass Seed Bead Necklace

This is a very common Indian necklace in the southwest. They use to be made and still make a lot for the tourist trade. Although I think it will be a dying art, due to the desire of more silver.

There are little daisy's around the neck part. The three disks on it, all have a thunderbird on them. I'm not sure, but I think it means, to be free. The thunderbirds seems to be the color that didn't scan well, they're all red. The other colors seem to be scan correctly. The backs of the disks all have the smooth surface of off white leather sewn on them. It seems to be made with artificial sinew. The hanging pieces are of orange, green, white & black glass seed beads.

Measurements; Just daisy part is 25" long. The large disk is 1 7/8", the two small disk are 1" each, across.
