SOLD / $75.00 Horsehair Pot by Skeeter Vair This is a beautifully done Indian pot. They made this clay pot in their make shift klein, (under ground), in front of their house. The pinkier or reddish clay is the most desired. This was the deepest color I could find. When it's removed from the ground, still hot, they squeeze horse hair and lay it on, to give it's design. It desolves into a one of a kind design. It is smooth to the touch, since it's desolved into the clay. Their are a few pot designs, that I know have not been made in years. This one I think will be one, that will be short lived. Which to me makes it more percious. I love this pot. MEASURES; 4.25" tall. 5" wide at widest point. Mouth is 3" wide. |
