Celtic Style with Amethyst & Black Czech Glass Necklace & Earrings This is a very unusual set made by FEM. Their are ten small amethyst Czech facet glass beads on this necklace along with fourteen black facet Czech glass beads. Added with eight black glass tear drops. Each bead is hooked to the other with an eye pin, not chain. And in the middle/ center of each drop section is a silver Celtic style round connector for design. The necklace is finished off with a light weight figuro sterling chain, that goes around the neck area. A sterling claw clasp and split ring for strength, although this is still a delicate necklace. The design seems to be more in the Gothic period. The earrings are sterling studs, of the Celtic/ Gothic design. Which has one amethyst & black glass bead on each. With one tiny silver Celtic style flat bead spacer, which can be seen in the picture to your right. A re-enactor could wear this necklace with no problems, except for clasp. Their would have to be another pair of earrings made to fit the time period. Check on new earrings and if a period clasp is in stock. Measurements; Necklace is 15" long, so measure your neck or chain, since this was made on the small side. The first drop is 1- 1/2" & the second is 2 -1/4". The earrings are 1" long. |
