Antique Brooch / Broach#00008 |

SOLD / Brass Tulip Pin/Broach This is a old large brass pin that is close to what was worn in the 1800's. This one is different shape, instead of most that are just rectangle, it has it's own style. This is something I would wear. A nice ornate piece. Also, collectors piece. The metal is brass. The stone is probably a low grade or topaz (golden color) glass that was common in the 1930's / 1940's or earlier. The pattern is a filigree brass of flowers in center, that almost look like butterflies. A large tulip on each end hanging down from the top edge. And two large flowers in center top. Finished off with the old "C" clasp on back, as usual. Note: The normal, what I call dings on the brass and the top facet stone is worn. Yet, it still holds it's beauties, of times long gone. Not to be worn with light weigh clothes like silk, etc. This pin is heavy. Measurements: The broach/ pin is approx. 2" in height by 3" width. |
