Black Rose Cameo Pendant & Earrings

   This is not really a black rose, it just makes me think of one. The roses, are multi shades of gray. It’s one that I consider to be a size large. It’s made of new, old and vintage parts.

   This is what they call a transfer cameo, over white acrylic. Held in certain light, you can see where they highlighted it with some tiny white paint streaks. I don’t know what they use to put on the final coat, either way, it’s smooth. It’s a very elegant piece.

   It’s set in a brass-stamped mount, coated in bronze dye, for an antique effect. Has two hematite stones above it, since hematite is a silvery black, this gave an attractive contrast. Each hematite has two old brass bead caps and a large jump ring to fit onto a chain or ribbon. The bead caps look brighter, they have been cleaned, give them time to tarnish to match the mount.

   Earrings are hematite stones with matching old brass bead caps with a gold-plated oval bead and finished off with a G.P. French coil ear wire. I don’t wish to add brass ear wires. They are hard to come by and are not good to use on one’s ears. I make earrings when I have the right supplies. I like having matched or contrasting earrings on some of theses items, since it's hard to find suitable ones on the market.

   All that is needed is a chain or ribbon and your set. Let me know if you want a bail added, cost is $ 1.00, while they last.

Measurements: Cameo, is 2 ½" with loop x 2" wide. With the attachment added, it’s 3 3/4" in height. Earring’s are 3/4" long (not including the ear wire).
