Necklace / Magnifying Glass / Pendant

     These is a very  nice vintage LARGE  necklace for a re-enactor or a collector. The scanner didn't pick this up the way I' would of like to of seen this piece. I have no idea when it was made. Although it does have a barrel clasp & the glass is not real glass, but some form of synthetic. I haven't seen a necklace like it before. 

     It's made of silver color pot, or to look like pot metal. (Which is heavy ornate metal, that looks tough, but is soft, easy to break). Very ornate, as you can see. In fact if you look at the top square, I magnified it, so you could see the tiny piece missing, which took me some time to even notice.  You might not even see it in the picture. It has a large ornate bail, which it hangs from. And hangs on a heavy 3 link chain, with slashes of black on it.

     It's made to look like a pocket watch, that you open with your nail, to reveal on the back a magnifying glass/synthetic . Which is great, it really helps in reading & etc. The glass/ synthetic has a nice matching ring around it. It's held in place with 4 prongs and 2 straight prongs designed to on into special made holes to keep it latch.

Measurements:  The necklace chain measures approx. 29" long and the pendant is 2" in diameter on a 3/4" long bail.
