SOLD / Black Tear Drop Necklace and Ear Rings This is from the jewelry line of the 1928 reproduction, made in the 1970's. Now on this necklace I can't tell rather or not, it's made of real glass or is synthetic. And this pieces in the 1920's was a reproduction of a piece from per turn of the century. How many times it's been reproduce, I'm not sure anyone would know. A very fitting piece of jewelry for Civil War and any other pre turn of the century era. It's made to look like, or be small black facet glass beads, most of the way around the neck. I love the adjustment chain, it's a really cute reproduction gold color chain from the 1800's. I was lucky to find some very old brass, that looks the same, except for the decoration. The center piece idea goes back for century's. It's gold color metal with rhinestones. The scroll works hold 29 small rhinestones in the center piece. Hanging down is a black tear drop. And the back is your hook and eye clasp, to adjust to your liking. Now the ear rings I do know about. I made them to go with the necklace. They are made with two old black German facet glass tiny tear drops, with one old round center bead. There is 3 gold plated beads on each, and finished off with a G.P. French ear wire with coil. Measurements: The necklace measures 13", long, (not including center piece and adjustable chain). The center piece drops approx. 2-1/2". Earrings are approx. 1-3/8" long, (not including ear wire). |
