SOLD / Amber Glass Beads & Magnifying Glass Necklace This is a very nice long amber (golden brown) glass beaded necklace with a magnifying glass on the end. A very common worn piece, since in the 1800's those who could afford glasses, would not been seen in public with them on. The chain is twisted silver color metal around, round and oblong amber glass beads, with approx. 32 round glass beads and 5 oblong amber glass that have a gold band around the center with a couple of tiny black drops of glass on the band. Finished off with a spring clasp. The magnifying glass is silver color metal with a good magnifying glass for us blind people out there. Besides a nice piece of jewelry, this would catch the attention of any re-enactors eye. Note: Shouldn't be worn by someone hard on jewelry. This comes down just enough, to bang against things, such as tables when bent over and could easily break. Measurements: The necklace measures approx. 28" long (with out glass) and the glass is 4-1/4" long by 2-1/8" wide. |
