Fan Holder Pin

This is an old silver plated pin. You pin it on the right side of your waist, then below, which I have to re scan is a sterling chain and swivel that hangs down, for you to hook your fan or gloves to. You can also do that with your handkerchiefs, if you have the ring.

The chain is a delicate sterling with a silver plated swivel, that you hook on your gloves, fan or anything similar in weight. The swivels are harder and harder to fine new.

The chain is approx. 2-1/8" long, not including the jump rings and swivel.

Note: The silver plate is worn down to the brass on some of pieces of the pin.  The pin folds up & down, to which look you desire. The back has a safety latch pin.

Idea; Some of the re-enactors, take a round metal ring shape and crochet around it for handkerchiefs and gloves. I remember my great grandmother did that. At that time I had no idea why. Probably looked prettier than just metal and would leave no rust.

Measurements:  The pin measures 1-1/2" long by 1-3/8" wide, not including the fan hook/ holder.
