$9.00 Broach/ Pin
This is a Mexican piece, being it's
from Mexico. I'd say somewhere around the late 1940's.
These pieces were very popular in
the 1940's, you might remember your mother or grandmother wearing one.
This piece is marked on
back "Silver", and "Mexico". It's heavy in weight.
The mount is blacken antiqued with
shiny raised area's.
The center is made of what I think
of as celluloid, a synthetic, which was not uncommon. Also the face design
that was very common, in an almost forest green color.
They're groups that just collect
these type of pieces. But, I have no idea what they are called.
NOTE; This is not a perfect piece. You can see a
small dent in the top round part, which is hardly noticeable in its regular
size. Yet, they're two noticeable dents in the bottom right round
area. One on top of the round area and one along the edge.
Measurements; Approx. 2-1/4" high by
approx. 1-3/4" wide.
