Dark Green Velvet Purse

The metal works looks to be of pewter, but is not, to hard. Looks like at one time it might of had gold wash on it. Has no chain, but I can add one easily. The ladies head at the top, that looks like a button, is the way it opens. You just push down on it.

It looks to be made around 1880's. Probably around the turn of the century had a new outer cover added. And approx. had new lining added within the last 25 years, of light bright green silk, like material. The design is of ladies and men sitting, can't make out the rest. A great purse to add to someone's collection.

NOTE: There are initials on back, which I make out to be MWG on the metal. Looks to be of the owners initials.

Measurements: From the top of the chain holder to the bottom is 10 1/2". The metal top piece is 1 1/4" by 6 1/4", straight across.
