SOLD / BELT WATCH CHAIN/ MAN OR WOMAN (?) This was made I'd guess somewhere around 1920's. Silver over brass, which is common for this time period. I don't know whether or not it was for a man or woman. Both I think both could wear it. The main piece scanned on the dark side. Yet it is shinny silver and very delicately done. It's a woman, that appears to be in flapper type clothing, sitting on a bench, holding probably a McCall type bird. The picture shows a little of a geometric design done on the four sides. This is four sided. The front which you see, the back which is plain silver yet smaller and two ends. One end is brass with a slot to clip onto a belt, although I think it's mainly used to slide onto a belt. I saw a picture of one that had a chain and swivel on it, so I replaced what was missing with sterling. NOTE: The flaws seem to be some scratches between the back and front, which can not be seen when on. Other than that's in very good condition. Could be worn by WWI re-enactors or even today, given as a very special and unique gift. Fits a normal thin belt that usually come with men's dress pants. Measurements: Top is 1 1/2" long and 1/2" wide. Thickness for the belt is 1/8". The chain is 7 1/2" long including the swivel. Also is easy to clean.
